“Vintage ARP Odyssey 2800 MK III Model 2823. This synth has just had a full service and is ready to go! It works flawlessly and will cut thru any mix. Pure funk at it’s analog greatest, this vintage synth blows the re-issue Odyssey’s right out of the water. Nothing sounds like an original 2800 and this one is superb.
Functionally this synth is perfect. It does have wear on the side panels and bottom panel. The front panel cosmetics are perfect.”

“UK mains powered 240 volts It has a few scuffs & marks, & the facia & wood sides have faded (see photos).

The main difference between the two is that this one has an additional switch & control knob on the left-hand side, the other one has not (see photos).
The switch & knob do not appear to do anything however, & so I am not sure of their intended functions.”

” I’m not going to even try to “sugarcoat” this vintage Arp Axxe monolithic Synthesizer. It LOOK’s terrible! Some of the control sliders finger tabs are broken off, but can still be moved with your fingernail, (not convenient but it works). It looks as if the previous owner cleaned the unit every day, all the panel flow diagrams are almost worn off and hard to read. The keyboard is in good condition – cosmetically and the does work, but all the contacts need cleaning and do clean up.
I have dabbled with keyboards and synthesizers for many years, as an technician, not a musician.This Arp AXXE does have a heartbeat! I plugged it in this morning and found that many of the functions work as they should! The oscillators, VCO & LFO’s work, Noise Gen. works, VCA works, Mixer works, Envelope Generator (ASDR) work. As I mentioned above many of the electrical contacts need cleaning in order to eliminate some of the “dead or scratchy spots”. Alcohol and Q-tips seem to work well. The circuit board seems to be original – no modifications and it appears that it has never been removed. This vintage synthesizer IS NOT DOA and with some TLC it should function ALMOST as it did when it was new.”

Major service included replacing 29 sliders, replacing all keyboard bushings, insuring the boards were free of traces, and final calibration.
Functionally this synth is perfect. It does have wear on the side panels and bottom panel but this doesn’t affect it’s playability at all. The front panel cosmetics are perfect.”

It has a few scuffs & marks, & the facia & wood sides have faded (see photos).
Please note that I have 2 of these for sale with close serial numbers (see my other listings).
The main difference between the two is that the other one has an additional switch & control knob on the left-hand side, but this one has not (see photos).
The synth was the property of my late brother & I am selling it as part of his estate.
Unfortunately, I have little knowledge of this sort of equipment & I have only been able to carry out some basic checks as follows:
When plugged into an active speaker & powered up it makes an oscillating noise, which can be varied using each of the sliders.
It also responds to each individual key on the keyboard.”

1970s ARP Synth.
Stored for many years
it is in good condition
and comes with original music holder
but screws to hold it down are missing.
I am no expert in this
so please here me out.
The keyboard does power up
and after a warm up time
does play.
However, when switching on the effects
some work only slightly, partly
or not at all.
It is in need of
complete cleaning of all controls,
refurbishing and or repairs.
There is lots of info
on these on Youtube.
Videos about repairing them also.
Wonderful piece of 1970s music history,

“Due to a non paying bidder, this item is being relisted.
This ARP Quadra was serviced a few years ago by MIKE Metz at Thesis Audio Service in Kansas. After I got it back from him, it was fully functional and beautiful.
It is still beautiful, just not fully functional anymore. I know that the sliders are all intact, the membrane switches all work, could only need just a little bit of money to get it running.
Since Mike worked on this last, I would recommend sending it to him for service.
This Quadra has a unique modification. The switch on the left side, which was professionally installed, allows you to take the chorus effect out of the mono signal which is pretty cool. An extra feature added that you do not see on any Quadras that I have seen.
I was told this Quadra was once owned by John Elefante of Kansas before he joined Kansas. I believe Mike even told me that he worked on this synth while he toured with Kansas at one point back in the day.
This unit comes with an anvil case for safe shipping, and a spare custom programmed CPU.”

“Excellent condition original early 70s Mk1 White ARP Odyssey – easily the best sounding revision with the original “lawsuit” Moog clone filter. This one is very fine physical condition with a nice bright white panel and keys and all slider caps intact. It works perfectly, tunes up fast and sounds absolutely huge. It was serviced a few years ago by Switched-On in Austin and includes a few useful mods along with a new power cable. There is a switch for mono/duophonic mode, LFO sync to key and CV/Trig/Gate in/out and filter input all of which increase the functionality of this already excellent synth. I’ve owned many of these of the years and this is easily one of the nicest examples I’ve seen of this model and should make its next owner very happy for years to come. Sold AS-IS”

“I’m selling my original US made full size vintage ARP Odyssey. It’s flightcased and in excellent working and cosmetic condition having been regularly serviced over the years. It was toured professionally throughout its past and has been recently kept in a studio.
The synth has a couple of extra features commissioned by the original owner.
Firstly the pitch wheel is sprung so it jumps back to its central position making using it in performance much easier. There is also an extra control to adjust the amount of the pitch change. There is a knob which adjusts a delay on modulation so that you can adjust the attack on the modulation used. This can be turned on and off with the extra switch. Otherwise the synth is a typical black and gold faced early Odyssey. All keys work and the oscillators and tuning are extremely stable. There is plenty online about this version of the synth. The manual is a modern reproduction but included. ”

The Omni is an analog synth with preset Orchestral String sounds. It has polyphonic Violin and Viola waveforms as well as monophonic Bass and Cello waveforms. It is split into 3 sections: Strings, Synthesizer, and Bass synth – all simultaneously available. It has traditional and simple VCA, VCF, and LFO controls for contouring your sounds as well as a nice chorus that really thickens up the string sound. It has no program memory.
All Items I am listing were tested and photographed in 2012. They were then wrapped in plastic and stored. “Recently (about a month ago) refurbished by one of the best techs in SoCal (Montoya). It was also previously professionally maintained when I lived up north, about 4 years ago (Siegenthaler). Many 2600s are electronically flaky, and most of any of the keyboards are internally a wreck — but not this pairing. They are electronically in excellent shape, and also are in fairly good shape cosmetically.”

Odyssey Mark II’s were produced between 1975 and 1978. They are largely similar to Mark I’s; the main differences are the use of the black and gold color scheme and the inclusion of CV/gate in all models. These models also use a four-pole VCF, which were similar in design to Moog’s four-pole filter. ”

” For sale is an Arp 2600 synthesizer along with a 3604P keyboard that is well used and working (mostly), it makes plenty of great noise but needs service to be back to it’s best condition. Known issues are as follows; both lids are missing, numerous broken sliders, oscillator 3 not working, some jacks are intermittent, audio/lf switch on oscillator 2 is intermittent. Power and keyboard cable are included, piece will be well packed for it’s journey to it’s new home or can be picked up near downtown Los Angeles. This synth is being sold as is with no returns.”
