“Awesome synth. Sadly this one hasn’t seen much love. It could probably do with a service, so please bare that in mind. For a start you might need some of those slider caps, although I think you can get them on eBay (maybe the Korg ones will fit, I have no idea). I don’t have the screws that enable you to lift the front panel to look inside. The keys on this thing hang over the edge, crazy design, but they have never been broken thankfully. There are kits you can buy that add patch points, turning it into a “poor man’s 2600″. Guitar Hex pick up cable not included and guitar controls are untested. I’ve only used it via external CV/Gate inputs.” 
“ARP Axxe Synthesiser, possibly mid 70’s. Not Working.. Condition is For parts or not working. I’ve been asked to sell this by a very good friend. It belonged to her son who sadly died many years ago and this has been languishing in her garage since then. It was only used at home by him but as it was purchased second hand I’ve no information about its prior life. As can be seen in the photos it comes with an extremely robust flight case so I assume it was originally bought by a gigging musician from the “London Synthesiser Centre”. My friends memory isn’t clear as to when he bought it but she thinks it was in the early 80’s. I borrowed a monitor amp from a friend and plugged it in, unfortunately it was unresponsive to any attempt to get any coherent response from pressing the keys or adjusting the various controls and sliders. It did make a “Synthesiser” noise which made half hearted responses to some of the controls but most definitely needs someone with the the relevant expertise to get it operational again. I suppose that in the worst case scenario it could be used as a parts donor to get other similar types up and running but that would be a shame as cosmetically it’s not in bad condition, the only real problem is the fact that virtually all of the small knobs which fitted on the sliders have decayed and gone missing. In one of the photos you can see the only two remaining intact ones. In one of the photos I’ve shown the sticker giving its model and serial number if anyone knows where to look for its date of manufacture. The flight case is very shabby as can be seen in the photos but it’s actually structurally sound and the interior is still giving excellent protection for the instrument. I think the carcase could be made to look respectable again but the hinges, catches and corner protectors are badly afflicted by surface rust although they all function well and I guess could be restored to almost as new. It comes with its original power lead. I’ve tried to get some info. on line about this instrument and believe that in working order it could well be worth many hundreds of pounds whilst the flight case alone would be worth a fair amount. So, there it is, I hope someone out there fancies this and has the know how to get it up and running”
