“Vintage ARP Odyssey Original – Rev 1, Whiteface.
Although this is an excellent example of a classic synth, it is not 100% operational…
VCO1 has instability in tuning and does not output a clean sound.
VCO2 however is absolutely fine.
Some sliders are noisy and need replaced.
It has been partially serviced by Jim McKenna of Singing Cat Services – look him up!
I’m sure he would be happy to give further details if you need more info.
He couldn’t find a fix to the VCO problem but did service some other areas of the synth.

“Excellent condition original early 70s Mk1 White ARP Odyssey – easily the best sounding revision with the original “lawsuit” Moog clone filter. This one is very fine physical condition with a nice bright white panel and keys and all slider caps intact. It works perfectly, tunes up fast and sounds absolutely huge. It was serviced a few years ago by Switched-On in Austin and includes a few useful mods along with a new power cable. There is a switch for mono/duophonic mode, LFO sync to key and CV/Trig/Gate in/out and filter input all of which increase the functionality of this already excellent synth. I’ve owned many of these of the years and this is easily one of the nicest examples I’ve seen of this model and should make its next owner very happy for years to come. Sold AS-IS”

“This listing is for a Vintage ARP Odyssey II 2810 Electronic Music Synthesizer. I acquired this as well as some other items from a man that was an avid collector in vintage electronics his whole life. He stated that he only set it up no more than 3 or 4 times since he purchased it new in the mid to late 1970’s. It has been sitting in a climate controlled closet in the original box all these years which is why its in excellent condition cosmetically and is extremely clean as well. It comes complete with the original foot pedal, an additional larger foot pedal and the instruction guide. Both pedal cords are still in excellent condition as well. You will also receive a 211 page book titled “Learning Music with Synthesizers”, as well as a hard to find complete set of full size, two-color patch charts that are designed to fit over the control panel of the instrument, providing you with the proper control setting for sixteen popular patches (see last pic). It is extremely rare to find these patch charts let alone a complete set still in excellent condition.”

” This is the real deal, not the Korg remake, but you already knew that if you’re looking at this listing! 🙂 This is a 70s Arp Odyssey 2810 synth, which is technically a MKII but if you know about these, you know there are different subtle varients within the MK1 or 2 family. This particular unit has the 4-pole 4035 filter which is essentially a copy of the Moog Ladder Filter. This is one of the better filters amongst the Oddyssey crop! This one also has the factory installed CV/Gate Ins and Outs. Sweet!”

“This is a beautiful early 70’s Tonus branded ARP Odyssey Mark 1, the most desirable of the Odysseys! It is in excellent, Mint minus shape for its age- you won’t find a nicer example of these fantastic analog synths. It has been used lightly in a smoke-free private recording studio. There are very minor signs of use, to be expected from its age. All functions work fine. Occasionally I noticed a little noise when moving the sliders. A tech advised me that this was a simple fix of spraying the sliders internally but I decided not to do it as it wasn’t a problem for me. Two of the colored slider covers are cracked. These little plastic covers can be found on Ebay and in no way affect the functions of the sliders.These Odysseys are fantastic sounding synths- huge, warm, analog sound and it’s no wonder they were embraced by many rock artists like Joe Walsh, ELO, Steve Miller, etc. as well as Jazz artists like Chick Corea and Herbie Hancock. This synth is in fine working condition and in beautiful looking shape. Because of its vintage, I am selling this “As Is”. Item will be packed carefully and double boxed.
