The sub-octave function doesn’t seem to be engaging for some reason, but both DCOs are working well. Some of the buttons require a firm press. “For sale is my beloved AKAI AX 60.

I love its analog sound, better than the Junos and Jupiter IMO. Sadly I have no time or skills to service this baby so I guess I’m going digital. All keys, sliders and buttons work, with the following exceptions:

The note sustain on the Envelope Generator seems to be permanently routed to pitch. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. It’s probably a faulty capacitor but as I said I don’t have the knowledge to know which one. The way I used to overcome this was by using a sustain pedal and activating the VCA gate. It could use new switches on the preset buttons (number 4 on the second row doesn’t work sometimes).

It’s missing two slider knobs.

“This has been hooked up and played. That’s all I know. My son’s band used it for a few summers a few years ago and it worked fine but I’m not a musician so I couldn’t tell you if the B key is flat or whatever is off. Running Tauntek O/S so controllable via MIDI (using CC#s) and Sysex capable! Running Rev I2 ROM specifically.

A classic, great, nice cosmetics synth, needs a slight bit of love but playable now.

Will not ship this due to its fragility! In fact, it should be serviced.

Working 100% Except for the following imperfections:

3 Keys do not work (high B key, high G#, C key 2 octaves down from high C)
Some membrane switches are slow to respond, esp #32
