“For sale is the hard to find Access Virus Indigo, in good condition. This has only been in my smoke free studio since I purchased it over 15 years ago. There are two issues with the keyboard. The first is the keyboard is starting to yellow a bit due to age (it’s 22 years old). The second is the the filter and resonance pots have a bit of wobble to them. “I am looking to find a new home for my enhanced hybrid early production MiniMoog from 1972.

HISTORY

I am the 2nd owner and bought it in 1985 from Octaphonics Studio who liked to restore these, since at that time, a lot of these units were toured and some did not survive as well as others.
This MiniMoog is made up of the best parts of 3 different minimoogs all from 1972.
– The faceplate and keyboard coming from one.
– The circuit boards from another
– the metal housing from the 3rd.
This was the state of the mini as I purchased it In 1985.
As such there is no actual SR# and has been obscured. But the serial numbers on the circuit boards are ,1643, 1650 and 1713. So this seems to be a fairly low numbered time frame. ”

“Generally very good functional condition, the only issue I’m aware of is a little bit of scratchiness in the audio, despite the patch or output (including the quarter-inch versus mic outputs). I intended to have this seemingly very easily-fixed issue fixed by a local tech, but its just sat on my rack, rarely used since I purchased over a year ago—doing a spring cleaning on gear I never use. Patches load without issue, MIDI-IN works fine. I’ve never used an external controller of all the filter/parameters, but I assume it would work without issue if MIDI-IN works. The scratchy audio, while seemingly an easy fix, is loud enough where I think most people would have it fixed before they would deem this usable — to be clear, the scratchy sound I’m describing is not pure static or so loud/constant that you can’t hear patches, but most people want clean audio and the scratchiness is clearly present in the mix.” Click here to visit listing on eBay

“We’ve been told these are normally non-functional at this point if they haven’t been refurbished in recent times. This unit is no exception. Our tech does an incredible job refurbishing most of our gear but he doesn’t know how to refurbish the controller section in this unit, so we’re not going to have him experiment with it and are selling it as-is. Fortunately though, we’ve been in touch with a tech who says he fully refurbishes them for $650, and can put you in touch with him and can ship it directly to him if you’d like, if you purchase this unit.

The power switch and some other switches are currently stuck in place from lack of use. A couple of the metal inserts from the faders are missing but this is just cosmetic. Alesis Andromeda A6

“Very good condition, only two issues I am aware of:
(1) MIDI-IN does not work
(2) Parameters/filters/envelopes *maybe* making small adjustments on their own. This is my first Andromeda, I’m not an Andromeda aficionado, so maybe this is totally normal behavior for the Andromeda. As an example, if I load a patch, adjust some of the dials/press buttons effecting the various parameters/filters/envelopes/etc., and then leave for 5 minutes and come back, the sound will be slightly different than it was when I left 5 minutes prior. I also notice on the LCD screen, parameters will sometimes make very small adjustments back and forth, but this seems consistent with a functioning oscillator/filter. I don’t know what else to say about this, it may be totally normal in how the Andromeda is programmed. Its just different than many other synths I have played where you adjust a parameter and the sound/effects stay fixed to the adjustment you made. Since its kind of unusual in my experience, I thought I would mention it. To be clear, the adjustments are relatively minor, its not like the sound is drastically different due to this, it just won’t have the exact profile as you left it. Maybe this is something you can address by consulting the owner’s manual (which I have sadly never opened).

Otherwise, the Andromeda is in very good condition, esp considering its an approx 30 year old synth. The ribbon controller functions without issue, the LCD brightness is good, and its generally cosmetically good and clean and well taken care of. Its one of my favorite synths I have ever played, let alone owned, so I truly hate to sell it, but money is tight and I can’t see myself spending the money to get a tech to fix the MIDI-IN anytime in the near future. I don’t want any project synths I can’t immediately use taking up space, space is a premium in my situation. I would like to get an Andromeda in a few years when I have a better situation.

I have had this keyboard for about 30 years for most of that time in an attic.

There are a few sliders missing but these are available.

The D# makes a slightly weird and same note for each octave. I have read this is common problem that can be sorted.

The right hand side panel is loose and needs to be properly fixed together with a small block beside the rightmost key.
