“Forget all your modern day ARP Odyssey reproductions – this is the real deal and a great example of a legendary vintage synth from the late 1970s.
I have owned this fantastic synth for many years and it was well looked after in my smoke and pet-free home studio before being stored in its flight case.
The Odyssey has CV and Gate ports which means it can be used with a step sequencer, or a MIDI sequencer if you happen to own a MIDI to CV converter.
I also comes with a very sturdy flight case, original manual, patch book and printed service manual.
The keys are even and they all play fine, however please note one of the slider caps is missing (see pics). This doesn’t affect playability at all and replacements can be easily sourced online. The sliders are nice and smooth, however one or two are slightly noisy when moved – not unexpected for a synth that’s getting on for 50 years old!
If you know your vintage synths this one needs no introduction. Famous Odyssey users include Billy Currie (Ultravox), Gary Numan, John Foxx, Herbie Hancock, Kraftwerk, Alan Wilder (Depeche Mode), Chick Corea, Roger Powell, George Duke, 808 State and countless others.” Click here to visit listing on eBay
