Up for sale, a Moog Prodigy model 336A monophonic synthesizer in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Produced from 1979-84 in Moog Music’s Buffalo, NY factory, this short-lived synthesizer has become very popular as a bass synth in techno and electronic music; used by artists including Fatboy Slim, Depeche Mode, and The Prodigy (who even named themselves after it). Only 11,000 were ever made, and this early example (with a serial 2970) dates to 1980 or 1981. A similar Moog Prodigy with a higher serial number (#3078) was valued at $2,500 by the Bob Moog Foundation in 2020 (https://moogfoundation.org/announcing-2020-moog-trifecta-raffle-source-prodigy-and-rogue/).
