” Yamaha CX5M Music Computer. Condition is “Used”. The starting bid is quite low, so come and grab a bargain!
If you’re looking at this auction you probably already know what this is. It’s a fully functioning MSX music computer sold by Yamaha in the early 80’s and in lovely condition. It runs on MSX Basic, and included in the auction is the MSX Basic reference manual as well as the owner’s manual.
It is often used for programming the Yamaha DX7 synthesiser with the additional YRM-103 Voicing Programme module, which I have now sold.
It comes in the original box, though the packaging inside the box has long since disappeared.
Things to note – I originally bought this in the US and hence it runs on the US 110v supply. Therefore included is a UK/US adaptor so that it can be safely used in the UK.
This also means that the output is designed for the NTSC system instead of our native PAL system. This means if you plug it into a standard UK TV you need to make sure it has an NTSC option (quite often available through the A/V function).” Click here to visit listing on eBay
