“Vintage 1983 Korg Poly-800. Powers up and makes Synthy sounds but it’s like something is stuck. Change program number and parameters and the sound changes slightly but won’t normalize. Joystick functions and seems to effect the note properly. Anyway, sold for repair or parts. There’s an internal watch battery soldered to the board that eventually dies and required replacing. At that time a reload of original presets is also required and can easily be found and executed with 1/8” audio from the internet.”
