“Korg Lambda ES-50 String Synthesizer.
Originally bought by my father in ’79, it’s a fantastic sounding fully polyphonic string machine in lovely condition. It also has the original pristine manual and (tatty) box – it looks fabulous.
This has two layers of strings that can be detuned like traditional oscillators, it is then put through the on board ensemble effect. The sound is very rich and alive. There is also a brass and a piano section, but it really shines for strings.
It is mostly working well but there are some issues with this machine :
The percussive (piano) section isn’t working correctly, though it can be heard very faintly when playing keys.
There is also a tuning issue on each A key. It does not respond to the tuning knob like other keys but plays when the tuning is set.” Click here to visit listing on eBay
