“This Yamaha DX7 is in great condition for its age. It looks, sounds, and plays fantastic! There are just some minor chips in the paint and few scratches on the underside (please see photos). It appears this instrument was very lightly used. A new internal battery has been installed in a socket to allow for easy future replacement. “vintage yamaha dx7- the keyboard is clean with standard wear. when turned on the screen says ram corrupted. the internal sounds are zero. if turned on holding down #16 & #32 simultaneously the cartridges will play. I’m told the sounds have to be re-installed and the synth is a half step below C. There is a way to tune it but I don’t know a thing about the keyboard. I’m selling it exactly as photographed. No other parts, no cartridges. Consider the synth in ‘not working’ condition. It may be an easy fix for someone who has dealt with these before. I borrowed a couple of cartridges and the instruments sounded great through an amp. I bought it untested about 10 years ago thinking it was in working condition because it looks great, very clean. It was purchased at Sam Ash, NYC, ~1985 by me. It is fully functional and comes with:

+ the original Operation Manual
+ a dedicated complete guide by Yasuhiko Fukuda
+ a separate Sound Patch Library book with hundreds of additional programmable sounds
+ a Voice Library catalog with accompanying Performance Notes
+ both original sound cartridges
+ a DX-ROM 128-voice third cartridge that I purchased separately
+ a blank cartridge (with some additional loadable voices).
+ Voice data list sheets for recording your own NEW voices
+ Gotcha Covered custom-made dust cover
+ two original equipment cassettes: “DX Performance Demonstration” and “The DX Zone”
+ an original equipment Breath Controller
