” Here it is. I never thought that this day would come. This is the ultimate SP1200. This is the 2nd of 2 that I have owned through the years and this one was the best.

It is being listed as for parts/not working because of the vintage nature of the instrument in that they do have their quirks and will need tech-ing in the future and I do highly recommend a full service by someone like FORAT. That being said on check everything works as it should on last power up. I have a handful of floppies around 20 to throw in as well (people like the Lotherak SD card thing, but I’m telling you floppies is where its at, nothing like sharpeing the label when you finish the beat).

I’ve replaced all of the buttons with black buttons, and replaced the pads with NOS pads, and all of the slider were replaced with new ones. The LEDs were replaced with white ones. The floppy drive works great and I will include 20 floppies to get you going. The other SP I had was a little noisy on the power supply, but this one is super quiet. The screen is bright, and the filter chips have also been replaced with NOS new old stock ssm2044 chips which cost me I think it was around $100 per chip. Includes a replacement set of NOS pads ($200 worth). The Jazzcat sample input monitor mod ($100) is installed and can be unplugged to disable. This allows you to monitor while sampling without reading a mixer. This one has smooth sliders and fat fader caps.

This machine was taken care of and you won’t find another package like this for sale. I’ve seen many go through websites, and there’s a lot of questionable issues that come up. They almost always need some sort of repair. For example the first one I got needed all of the buttons replaced, but the seller said it was in perfect condition. Luckily, I’ve been repairing vintage synths for years and could take care of the issues that came up. I always use Cardas quad eutectic silver solder on all of my vintage gear repairs and mods.”

“Firstly, please know that I am an amateur with synths. There are waaayy too many buttons and features for my acoustic guitar mind, so please understand that I am doing my best–and don’t take my explanation of what works as 100% true. No matter what, I am selling it as is, for parts or repair.

It took me a while but I figure out how to produce sound from the keys. All that I am able to tell you about the functionality is what you see in the video.

Every key works but the A sharp key on the right is sticky. Others possibly are sticky as well but they all seem to respond the same to me.

There are a few marks on the keys on the right (pictured).

The screen and its brightness seem normal to me.

I don’t like how the some of the buttons feel and a few are a little sticky as well.

The rotating selector works and the sliders seem to work, as well as the modulators.

There was a disk in the drive so I attempted to access the information on it but I was unsuccessful. I did hear the drive try and engage, but again, I have no idea what I’m doing…

No inputs were tested other than mono.

Has some scratches, scuffs, and overall signs of wear from playing gigs.”

“I am original owner, purchased 1984 when it first came out. I then purchased the SG05 upgraded module installed as shown (Original SFG01 module also IS INCLUDED! ) giving extra features and MIDI in capabilities, and eliminating the need for the YK series keyboards!

I used the included COMPOSER cartridge to create complex multitimbral songs, and some monster real time jams…then after a little over a year of light usage, I put it in storage.

I am moving soon, and cannot take a bunch of my vintage gear with me so I hope someone will enjoy this clean, very well preserved kit.

PLEASE NOTE ! INCLUDED is the original SFG01 Module (easily swapped with only one screw) as shown in the last picture (SFG01 module is not shown in Main Photo) : IT will give you an (upgradable) spare module.

This 4 operator module is capable of truly amazing FM sounds, in addition to being an early beast of Konami video games and graphics, (which I never used it for that) but there are still

incredible 3rd party patch data available to this day, if you dig a little..or, for the adventurous, program your own with INCLUDED Voice Editor.

I very carefully have had it in dry closet storage nearly 40 years now, in case I needed it again… I TESTED it via external MIDI keyboard, utilizing the “call_music” command. and it still functions perfectly playing the tones ( Japanese Yamaha 80’s build spells quality)

The original video RF video adapter is included, as well as the cassette tape interface cable, which I have not tested , but worked fine last time I used them (requires cassette deck and/or TV/ monitor capabilities)

I am not an MSX Basic programmer perse, but a valuable extra included is the MSX programming book I purchased as well… as shown.

At 1984 , I simply could not believe how cool this MUSIC COMPUTER was, and actually still is ! If you can write music, the included COMPOSER software, can take you in interesting directions as well.

In addition to tape backup, which was very reliable for me,and all I used, there were other backup drives available, which may still be obtainable, but I think other storage/load data methods may be more efficient…sysex mabe ? I think there are some utilities available for this function….at least there used to be !

Keep in mind, the SFGO5 can do up to 8 part mutitimbral, and combinations of that, and accepts MIDI in, unlike SFG01.

Manuals (4) show some minor wear, but are all intact, except FM Voicing Prrogram has back cover page missing (superfluous) , and COMPOSER manual has back cover missing and 1st two pages missing only. MSX book is in excellent condition .” Click here to visit listing on eBay

“Korg DW-8000 Programmable Digital Waveform Synthesizer w/ Case & PS-1 Pedal READ. The synth does work it does power on but it does have some issues. Sometimes the number display doesn’t work correctly, some of the buttons stick from when someone had an adhesive on it, and the stick on the left side has broken/fallen into the unit. It probably would work it could just use a little love. It also is coming with the ps-1 pedal, the power cable, and a travel case that it will be shipped in. ”

“Korg Polysix PS-6, reluctant sale of my 1982 vintage analogue programmable Synthesizer. I’ve owned this synth from new, it’s never been gigged and only used in a home studio setting.

These synths are now very collectable, and are getting quiet rare on the UK retro market, only ones I can see currently on sale are in Japan or the US, some non working ones I’ve seen advertised for more than I originally paid back in 1982!

The synth is in great shape for its age, physically there are some small chips out of the wooden end cheeks ( I have seen a lot worse on eBay claiming to be mint)

There are also some fine scratches above the attenuator knob on the front panel and some on the letters K and O of the Korg logo on the rear panel, I have photographed them as best I could to show.

The mains input is now on a standard IEE socket with a supplied lead, it is UK 240v 3 pin.

The original Leakey Nicad battery has been replaced once in its lifetime, and a repair to the PCB done at the same time a number of years ago.

I have another new PCB battery which is included in the sale, but I’ve not got the ability to do the replacement myself.

All the pots and switches work ok, although the volume pot is a little crackly when not used for a while, contact cleaner would most probably sort

that out.

In the area of the volume pot there is the slightest dint in the metal front panel, it is hardly noticeable, and I’ve shown it as best I can in photo No9.

The keyboard contacts have been cleaned sometime ago, but when not regularly used a couple of keys become hesitant at first, but are fine after a bit of use, mainly top G.

“The legendary one-and-only Arp Odyssey 2800 mkI “White Face”. Pristine completely restored original Arp Odyssey 2800 mki White Face duophonic analog synthesizer from the early 1970’s. A historical and fully functional piece to say the least.

Sounds incredible and functions perfectly. Much more fullness and more aggressive sonically than Moogs, black face models and many reissued Korg models.

Fully cleaned, serviced and keyboard reset by the fabulous Switched On synth shop in Austin, TX (original shop that Stranger Things composers Kyle Dixon & Michael Stein worked at).

I put $1200 into of perfecting this unit and then barely ever used it. Never gigged, has only sat in a nice temperature controlled studio.

This is probably the nicest original early 1970’s ARP Odyssey 2800 unit you’ll be able to find for sale in 2022. Only two owners, I bought from the original owner 15 years ago. It does have some cosmetic wear and tear, and dings in the paint from yesteryear, but no new cosmetic wear since I came into owning it, as it has not gigged with me.

This must be the worst (barely alive) example of this synth!!!!

It has a number of visible faults including (but possibly / probably not limited to)

– a missing C# key
– missing battery compartment cover
– paint damage around the power button
– cracked mod wheels
– generally unloved

However it does power on BUT I’ve not been able to get any sound from the outputs, therefore this is sold as Faulty, Spares or Repair.

I don’t have the time or the skills to restore this synth but it might be an interesting project for someone with the know-how!

A Used Vintage 1984 CASIO CZ-1000 Digital Synthesizer Keyboard.

This keyboard was part of my recording studio gear. I don’t remember where I got it but I recorded a lot of soundtracks with it. As you see, it’s been around and played a lot. There is plenty of scratches, rubs, etc… It’s not in a great condition.

I own it since 1990, now it’s in my keyboard closet because I cannot play anymore. Does not come with the DC 9 Volt power supply but it play with batteries. I only tested for 10 minutes with a pair of studio headphone and the keyboard was playing. I did not test everything because there is a lot you can do with it. It may need repairs, servicing or cleaning.

“OK So I have owned this for years and it has been fine, But recently I was rewiring my studio and by mistake I put the wrong power supply in and it blew the circuit.

I have had a brand new power circuit board put in and a brand new sound processor microchip and a flashram put in but it keeps on saying DECODE ERROR SUM MS2000

I have tried several times to reset it and it works for a while the goes back to the DECODE ERROR status when no sound at all will come out.

The parts and the machine itself are in fantastic condition and will do someone for parts or if they have an idea on how to fix it then it is up to you but I have ran out of steam with it now so I am letting it go for cheap.”

” Sequential Circuits Prophet P2002 256Mb 1987

This sturdy outboard to a Prophet 2000 can be driven from any external midi keyboard or DAW.

When working the sound quality is excellent even bearing in mind it is a 34 year old machine.

Issues:

1. Hard drive error iF

2. No output

The floppy drive only developed the invalid format issue a few days ago. The discs still load fine on another Sequential machine. Possibly floppy drive simply needs an internal dust.

The P2002 was working fine until just recently when there was no longer audio output. It was reading the discs. The keyboard was triggering the samples and the arpeggiator was working, but silence. I’ve not the expertise to trace the fault but there is no obvious failure visible on the circuit boards. Hence spares and repair.” Click here to visit listing on eBay

“Vintage Voice of Saturn Analog 10 step sequencer. Early version by Travis Thatcher. Neat old thing I have had for a while. Works fine except #9 in the sequence. The LED doesn’t light up and CV output is weak on #9. A weird glitchy analog quirk, fine if you don’t mind a hitch in your step or some funk in your rhythm. I have always just used it as it is, part of its charm I think. There are schematics on the web if you wanted to trouble shoot it. Not too many of these around.”

“Sad to see this one go but I have used it less and less and times require me to sell this.

Needs some care and attention, this is reflected in the price.

Good over all condition some cosmetic marks /scratches on the plastic please see all pictures.

In need of a good clean / service. Have not had serviced since owned.

All keys work, all pots work well some sliders feel slightly stiff.

Headphone connection sometimes crackles when phones jack is moved but not in any way constant.

Filter frequency is the main issue is it crackles and seems to self modulate in and out when moved. Does correct itself when stationary but fluctuates. This could be sorted by a clean but may also need replacing, I can’t say for sure and am being as transparent as I can.

I don’t think the decay or sustain is working properly either.
