One owner (me!). Includes power cable, original manual, original sound tape + 2 backup tapes. I have replaced the battery within the last 5 years but I couldn’t for the life of me tell you exactly when. Keypad works, knobs work, Pitch wheel & modulation wheel work….everything on this keyboard still works. Despite the scuffs on the wooden end pieces, the machine is in great shape. I tested it in May before I relocated to another state and it worked as it should. Unpacked in June and couldn’t locate the manual. I didn’t want to sell it without that and it has taken me this long to locate it. Lucky storage box search yesterday! “This synth was recently serviced by Wine Country in California and is working very well! All functions are working as intended. A brand new membrane panel was installed so all pushbutton keys are easy to press and reliable. The synth was fully recapped.

The key bed was also cleaned and all keys are working well with minimal dropped notes as long you don’t play with a very light touch.

A print out of the manual / service manual is included in a binder, along with the Wine Country program patch cassettes and the original faulty parts they pulled, along with the original CPU chip that can be reinstalled if you would prefer to revert the Prophet 600 to a non-gligli “stock” condition.

Perfect working order and good aesthetic condition (the odd scratch and a chunk out of one wooden cheek – please see the photos). My tech replaced an encoder pot and likely forgot to cut the post down – so that knob sticks out a few additional mm compared to the others.”

History of this instrument as I know it…This synthesizer has spent its life in a padded hard case. It was given to me by a co-worker back in 2013. He purchased it from Goodwill online. (However owned it prior to that took exceptional care of it.

The unit was not working and I held on to it since then. I decided last year in March to have it repaired. It would light up but not boot to program mode. I sent the unit to one of the absolute best technicians possible for this type of instruments. The unit was sent to David Sesnak of Wine Country Productions in San Jose, California. He could not believe how great the condition of this unit was cosmetically. All repairs he made totaled $746. I had him install the GliGli update as well.

The wood sides are original. I’ve included the invoice of work performed. I could not bring myself to discard a vinatge piece of music history so I am offering for someone to enjoy for years to come. The original side panels (included) were damaged so nice new ones were made. Don’t have the time for this project, but it could be a great finished keyboard with some work.

The red button was added by a previous owner to fix a problem with a broken button on the membrane keypad. Once the keypad is replaced, you could remove or disconnect it.

The Prophet 600 is a wonderful and rich sounding 2 vco vintage polyphonic synthesizer packed full of features and tricks.

This particular unit is in fantastic condition and features a full set of P5 knob caps. The synth is in great service and works exactly as it should, it is a joy to play. The original CPU will be included in the sale should you wish to swap out the GliGli.

The only minor thing worth mentioning about this unit is that some of the silkscreening around the filter has rubbed away over the years, please see photos for more detail, other than that, the synth is in near mint condition.

This came from japan, not sure what work this needs, if any. Untested. It has been modified with some custom Japanese circuit dated 1987. I think the circuit added a hundred or 2 memory slots for voice recall during live performance. (Like ymo) That’s all I can really say.
