GR-500

“Roland GR-500 with Module
I bought this new in the mid 1970’s at Sam Ash Music on route 4 in Paramus N.J. It was upgraded by Roland about 6 months after purchase to increase output volume and to add a tuning pot for the external synthesizer.
It was working well when I put it in the closet 5 years ago, but now the synth only sounds string 2 and 6. It is most likely an easy fix but I am unable to troubleshoot it at this time.

“his is the early Roland GR-500 Guitar Synthesizer Brain. This unit worked great when it was retired several years ago. That is all we have to go on. The proprietary cable is missing. It powers up and lights work, the LFO light slows down and speeds up properly. That said, we are selling this AS-IS as untested completely. The synth has recently been set up and serviced by Kent Spong, and seems to be in good working order.
