” I’ve had this Roland DRUM MACHINE since the mid 1980’s, but in truth, have not used it for quite some time. (over 25 years) It’s been in dry storage, kept in a waterproof case.
When testing via direct output to a Roland keyboard amp, it powered right up (photo of light-on demonstrates this). I was able to generate various beats, although the button contact on the bank selectors, start/stop, etc required a little extra pressure. This drum machine has multiple program modes, settings, tempo control knob, presets and more. HOWEVER, I’m guessing it needs a little TLC/repair, since the buttons are definitely temperamental. (Maybe contact cleaner for the motherboard?? Not really sure).
For something of this vintage, it’s still a remarkably unique instrument. I can’t tell if everything is working exactly as it should be – as I don’t have a manual or complete recall of how it once worked from way back when. I do believe it’s all fully functioning, but since I don’t know too much about it, I can’t be certain. That said, please note bidding starts much lower than current Ebay pricing – i’m trying to be clear in the above description, and therefore I’m selling it AS IS. I make no guarantees about its ongoing lifespan or ability to be fixed should it need something done – but at this moment of posting, it is functioning and playing rhythms.” Click here to visit listing on eBay
