“Up for auction is a vintage rhythm machine from the 80’s………………the Roland CR-5000. I checked all the functions and they seem to work as intended and I connected it to a mini amplifier and got sound. The condition is pretty good for it’s age and isn’t dented or scratched all up. The whole unit is very clean and doesn’t have any funky smells. This comes with the original owner’s manual and three Roland DP-2 foot pedals. The date on the manual says May 1983. Take a look at all the photos and see if this meets your sound needs. I’m aware that there’s reference to this unit being used on some Blondie records from the 1980’s era………………this was probably a big deal back in it’s day. ”

“I just ran through this drum machine and all works great except I cannot hear the rim sound on any patterns. Knobs are good and output is good.

Physical condition is not great (mainly the metal face lifting from the casing). I did my best with the pics.

Includes the case which does not have a lot of padding, but served well for storing the drum machine.

I will be packing the drum machine well in the case AND with the case inside a box for shipping.”

“Up for bidding is a very nice condition, old Roland Cr5000, The exterior is clean however there are alot of light scratches to the white plastic which are very faint and may not show up in photos, also there is a bit of a light area on top which may have had a sticker or something. All that being said it still looks very nice. I tried to test most aspects of it and it appears to work very well. I did notice that when using a standard guitar foot switch you had to click it twice, it is really a fun little thing. A manual is avaliable at the Roland Support Archive which is really helpful, even though it is pretty simple to figure out. “Bought this many years ago and has been sitting in my closet covered. In near perfect condition. When I first got it out only a few of the buttons would respond but now all but the conga, HH16 and Samba 1 do not respond. “This drum machine was working fine last year when we used it exclusively for click track in our Studio.

Unfortunately, after testing it we noticed that 4 or 5 of the buttons don’t work- It seems like that contact conductive pads (under the buttons) are dirty and in need of a good cleaning and/or minor modification.
