There are slight cosmetic scuff marks on top panel which existed when i first bought it.

“as the 1980 Mk1 it’s the rarer beast.
It’s three keyboards in one; “Synthe” “Brass” and “Strings” but effectively, as others have pointed out, the “Synthe” and “Brass” are pretty much two seperate synths.
You can cut the keyboard into different sections and effect any or all with the onboard flanger, which Korg should have really marketed as a seperate pedal, it’s astounding. There’s a modded jack on the back so you can put external instruments through the flanger, too.
It can produce lush pads, hard percussives and just plain analog synth weirdness to your heart’s content. Also it’s programmable; you hit the “Manual” button, play around until you’re happy with a sound, then hit the Memory Programme button and assign it to one of the 16 memory locations.
A couple of things to note; one of the end cheeks has some slight scuffs, the “Brass” lettering is a little cracked and the “KORG” on the back is also a little cracked, but these are small details and don’t affect the sound. And just so you know; when you change between “Manual” and one of the preprogrammed sounds, there’s a second lag as the board catches up that you want to change settings. I’m not sure if this is a Mk1 anomaly, but it’s there and thought you should know. Once I became aware, it’s all fine.
The Trident’s synthe section has square,saw and pulse waves, but although you can hear a difference between them, it’s pretty subtle. And the PWM isn’t as thick as other machines I’ve played, but maybe that’s just my ears, it’s all subjective. However, once you wind in the “Detune” dial everything thickens up very nicely. But again, that’s personal opinion.
Also it is FULLY POLYPHONIC and, crucially, MIDI so will slot straight into your set up.
This is PICK UP ONLY. Why?
1/ It’s a vintage machine and I’m sure neither you or I would want to risk it being chucked around backs of vans.
2/ It’s built like a tank. It’s a Panzersynth. So cost of postage would be astronomical.

Synth and Case are in reasonably good condition for age. Manual is in poor condition, but you will get it. The synth was tested through the headphone port and plugged into power, It worked well. All keys work as do all other controls. I do not know if it does, but if it has an external speaker, it does not work. It has MIDI output but that was not tested. Case is in pretty good shape, but as you can see the fabric has some staining and discoloration in areas, and has a small tear in the front pocket. You will receive what I believe is an Original Case, the DW-6000 Synthesizer, Power Cord, and the Manual. A cool opportunity to own a Vintage Korg and Carrying Case to keep it safe and stylish in. “Vintage 1983 Korg Poly-800. Powers up and makes Synthy sounds but it’s like something is stuck. Change program number and parameters and the sound changes slightly but won’t normalize. Joystick functions and seems to effect the note properly. Anyway, sold for repair or parts. There’s an internal watch battery soldered to the board that eventually dies and required replacing. At that time a reload of original presets is also required and can easily be found and executed with 1/8” audio from the internet.”

“This Korg synthesizer is in pretty good condition for it’s age. There are some small scuffs and scratches on the control panel (largest is on the far left side), but I’d consider this all to be minor. There’s also one screw missing from the front panel (top left). I tested the unit using a pair of headphones. The synthesizer seems responsive as I turn/adjust various controls. I am by no means an expert on synthesizers (or a musician of any kind for that matter), but it does seem to be working properly. Some of the controls are a little scratchy and this can be taken care by spraying them with electrical contact cleaner and turning the knob back and forth. This is really common on old electronics of any kind, and you can buy a can on eBay or Amazon for $10-15.”

FOR PARTS/PROJECT/REPAIR. Has a few stickers but otherwise in very good cosmetic condition. This was my first synthesizer and I liked it a lot. Powers on with batteries or 9volt adapter but has problems with internal battery and default sounds got erased. I was able to get it to make sounds again for a while recently but it didn’t save them after powering off. Now it just makes white noise.
