“This vintage model 1 ARP Odyssey synthesizer belonged to my dad who’s owned it since he bought it brand new in 1973. It’s been sitting around for a long time, and he decided it’s time to part ways with it. About 12 years ago, he performed major restoration work on it. To my recollection he replaced/repaired all the sliders and switches, among with repairing as many of the internals as he could. The end result was, well… Let me put it this way. It sounds AMAZING for the fact that it’s almost 50 years old at this point. He even used it in live performances in the early 2010s though had to retire it because heat frequently threw it out of tune, and he didn’t want to keep calibrating it every five seconds. Nevertheless, all functions and all 37 keys work as they should, and it’s ready to play. Good cosmetic condition, too – very little dings and scratches. My dad’s had his fun with it, and now it’s time for it to go to a new home. I lack the musical talent he has, lol. To make things absolutely clear: This is an ORIGINAL grey face ARP Odyssey from 1973, not one of the 2010s Korg reproductions. Both my dad and I will be sad to see it go, but he doesn’t use it at all these days, and I know I won’t get much use out of it for my own daily needs. Includes hard carrying case, original ARP foot pedal, and three copies of the service manual. Because of its age, it’s being sold AS-IS with no returns.” Click here to visit listing on eBay
