“It is a classic 1980s synthesizer. Made in Japan, it’s an Akai AX80 programmable polyphonic synthesizer. The back of it is dated as inspected on May 20th, 1985. I looked that date up online to learn what else in world history occurred, but apparently nothing did.
Unfortunately, it does not work at all. When plugged in, nothing happens.
I did open it up and looked under the hood. It doesn’t look like it has been messed with, but it definitely does not work at all. When turned on, no lights come on. Nothing.
The five knobs on the left side are all replacement knobs.
Cosmetically, it has lots of scuffs and scrapes, age and use wear, but is in solid structural condition.
I wish I had the skills to fix it, but I do not.
